ExtrabbitCode iLogic Code

Installation

Requirements, installing and uninstalling the add-in, and where to find the Code Editor button in Inventor.

Requirements

  • Autodesk Inventor 2025, 2026, or 2027 on Windows.
  • Inventor's iLogic add-in, loaded (it is by default). The Code Editor button lives in iLogic's own ribbon panel, and the editor runs rules through iLogic.
  • The Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which the editor panel is built on. It ships with Windows 10 and 11, so there is normally nothing to install.

The add-in brings its own dependencies; no separate .NET or other runtime install is needed.

Installing

  1. Close Inventor.
  2. Run the installer, ExtrabbitCode.iLogicCode_<version>.exe, and follow its steps.
  3. Start Inventor.

The installer puts the add-in in C:\ProgramData\ExtrabbitCode\ExtrabbitCode.iLogicCode and registers it with Inventor through ExtrabbitCode.iLogicCode.addin in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins. To update, run the installer of the newer version the same way.

Opening the editor

Open a part, assembly, or drawing, go to the Manage tab, and click Code Editor in the iLogic panel. The editor opens as a dockable panel, like any other Inventor window. See the introduction for what you can do from there.

If the button is missing, open Tools → Add-Ins (the Add-In Manager), select iLogic Code, and make sure Loaded/Unloaded and Load Automatically are checked. Check the iLogic add-in there too: without it, the panel the button lives in doesn't exist.

Uninstalling

Close Inventor, then remove ExtrabbitCode.iLogicCode in Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Your settings, templates, and logs in your local app data stay behind; see Files & Logs to remove them as well.
